Have you ever wanted to try something different? Do you love being on or near the water? Then paddling might be the perfect thing for you!

Anyone and everyone is most welcome to come along and have a go whether you are an intense athlete or looking to start exercising, we can cater for all your needs and experiences.

Everyone is able to attend 3 sessions free of any cost to see if outrigging is for you.

We currently have competitive teams from our juniors which start from 14 years of age to 70+. Also, every Sunday at 8am there is a session for our Social Paddlers for those who just want to go out for a relaxing paddle. As you can see, age has no limit when it comes to paddling!

Polynesian Va'a-alo Outrigger Canoe Club was founded in 2015, with the focus on providing a friendly family club atmosphere, catering for the recreational, social, and competitive needs and interests of the community. This sporting club is based in Shorncliffe, paddling on the beautiful waters of Moreton Bay.

Outrigging is a relatively new sport to Australia originating in the Polynesian Islands. Today outrigging is a fun sport for the entire family catering to kids from 8 years to adults. Racing occurs from September through to May, with training throughout the year.
